The Mother::
Anne Becker grew up in St. Charles, Missouri and moved to St. Charles, Illinois her senior year of high school (yikes! she is still upset about her father's transfer). She is an associate professor at Columbia College Chicago in the Education department, and the director of art education and loves the fabulous creative environment. She loves art; she has been a teacher all of her life and has relished the opportunity to share this love of art with all of her students, especially her most precious student, her daughter. When Brooke and her mom discussed the idea of 'fancy lunches' with each other once a month and sharing the experiences with interested web watchers, she was excited about the venture. It has been so much fun! The best part is sharing time with my techno-creative daughter and doing those crazy 'tweets' . . .sometimes she is really over the top, and Miss Knows-What-She's-Doing has to limit her 'tweeting'.

The Daughter::
Brooke Becker grew up in St. Charles and moved to Chicago in 2000. She is a graphic designer (brookebeckerdesign.com) and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in New Media at DePaul University. She enjoys trying new restaurants, performing improv, playing volleyball, and the summers in Chicago. She enjoys the opportunity to have fancy-pants lunches with her Mom every month! Brooke admires her Mom for her creativity, outgoing personality, her passion for her career, and her ability to wear head-to-toe poka-dots. Favorite food: King Crab Legs
